Yeqing (Victor) Li

 

President, Global Young Leaders Academy

 

He is a co-founder and the president of the Global Young Leaders Academy, a premier leadership development organization that empowers young leaders through on-going programs based on global vision, global experience and a global network. In collaboration with partners, he initiated and directed, as the Founding Executive Director (2012-18), the International Young Leaders Assembly (IYLA) which has empowered over 10,000 young leaders from more than 150 countries. He is also the president of the China Society which is committed to promote mutual understanding and collaboration between China and the rest of the world. In addition, he is Senior Fellow on Northeast Asia Peace and Development at the Global Peace Foundation and Senior Non-resident Fellow at the Center for China and Globalization. Previously, he worked for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group as a foreign direct investment consultant. In that capacity, he provided advice to local and national governments on attracting foreign direct investment through improving business environment. He has directed many international programs in over 20 nations and regions at globally significant prestigious institutions, such as United Nation New York HQ and Regional HQ in Bangkok and Nairobi, US Congress, World Bank, US State Department, etc. He was former President and current Honorary President of the Peking University Alumni Association - DC Metropolitan, and former Vice President of the Union of Chinese American Professional Organizations. He earned his Bachelor of Law in Sociology from Peking University in China and MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University in USA.
