Graduate Student, Fordham University

 

Matthew Deakin is from Pittsburgh and Atlanta, and just recently moved to New York City.  He spent two years working in village communities in Lesotho, southern Africa on rural development projects and HIV mitigation.

Currently, he is an incoming graduate student at Fordham University's Political Economy program and has been awarded their Public Service Assistantship.

He's inspired by mixing disciplines and genres to communicate in new ways, through video, science, poetry, literature and the arts.
