Featured Leader of the Day: Anastasia Vania Putri 20 (Indonesia)

August 15, 2014

Anastasia is currently earning a Bachelor’s Degree from Dickinson College with a double major in Anthropology and Theatre and Dance.

“I have seen too many leaders put their own needs first, due to this feeling of disconnectedness from the people and incomprehension of the people. The program implies the fleshing out of compassion and empathy in leadership, something that I see is lacking in many people holding positions of power. I am looking forward to exchange thoughts, vision, and experiences with other attendees of IYLA. By attending, I believe that I will be able to really put into perspective the meaning of leadership and international partnership the way that I had always hoped to see it.”

Rev. Mark Farr, President of the Sustained Dialogue Institute (SDI) asked to the delegates, “What’s your vision of an ideal world?” during a special workshop at the SDI and Anastasia answered selflessly, "I want to see a sense of community."
