Robert Daly

Robert Daly is the director of the Kissinger Institute on China and the United States at the Woodrow Wilson Center. Prior to the Wilson Center, he was the American Director of the Johns Hopkins University-Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies in Nanjing. Daly’s work on U.S.-China relations began in the late 1980s and early 1990s serving as Cultural Exchanges Officer at the US Embassy in Beijing. Since leaving the Foreign Service, he has taught Chinese at Cornell University, served as a commentator on Chinese affairs for CNN, and has interpreted for Chinese leaders as well as Jimmy Carter and Henry Kissinger.
