Economic Unit of the Office of Chinese and Mongolian Affairs

 

Lawrence Grippo currently works in the economic unit of the Office of Chinese and Mongolian Affairs and previously served as a trade policy analyst in the Office of Bilateral Trade Affairs in the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs of the State Department.  He has participated in several official U.S.-China diplomatic dialogues including the Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade and U.S.-China Innovation Dialogue.  Mr. Grippo was previously posted overseas in Warsaw, Poland and Taipei, Taiwan.  He also served as a reporting officer at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in New York during the 60th UN General Assembly.  Prior to joining the State Department, he worked as a project manager and business analyst for JP Morgan Chase in New York City.  Mr. Grippo holds a BA degree from Yale College and a MPA from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School.  He speaks Polish and Mandarin Chinese.
