Kennedy Ogoye

Founder, Just Save One


Kennedy Ogoye was born in Migori, Kenya and lived in Nairobi until moving to the United States in 2006. He has an Associates Degree in Mathematics and Science from Rockland Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Society from Cornell University.


In 2011, he founded Just Save One (JSO), a non-profit organization committed to developing sustainable solutions to the water crisis that has devastated many unprivileged communities in Africa.  JSO has already installed two large water tanks and electricity at Mbaka Oromo Primary School in Kenya.


Today, JSO continues to improve the lives of poor children by bringing clean water to their schools and villages in Kenya. Most recently, the Clinton Foundation named JSO “an exemplary approach to addressing a specific global challenge”.  He is a One Young World ambassador, a member of the All New York academic team, a Half the Sky ambassador, and a mentor at student He is the premier global forum for young leaders, and largest gathering of young people outside of the Olympics. He also engages in different issues including: role of business in society, transparency in business and government, the impact of climate change, global health and hunger relief. Advocate democracy and peace for all Nations.
