Jemi Laclé

Jemi Laclé, born on the Dutch Caribbean island, Aruba has been working since September 2013 at the World Bank Group as the program assistant to the Executive Director of the Constituency office representing Armenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Georgia, Israel, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, The Netherlands, Romania and Ukraine.
Prior to joining the Bank, Ms. Laclé worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. She worked on various policy matters and tackled issues on Climate & Energy, Foreign Trade & Investment and modernization and regionalization of Dutch diplomatic missions. Jemi has also gained experience working on Foreign Direct Investment policy at the India-Brazil Chamber of Commerce in Belo Horizonte, Brazil and the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation in Tokyo, Japan.
She is keen on volunteering and enhancing inter-cultural communication exchange and is currently an active executive board member of the Young pARTners Circle of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington DC. Ms. Laclé is also member of the Youth2Youth FY15 Steering Committee Member as chair of Partnerships & Events.
Jemi graduated from Leiden University in 2010 earning a Master of Science in Public Administration with a specialization in International Development Administration and Caribbean Studies. She studied International Relations, Political Science both at the University of Amsterdam and Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais, Brazil. She has also completed a Bachelor in Business Administration in International Business and Management Studies at The Hague University of Applied Science.
