Consultant, Forest Carbon Partnership Facility and BioCarbon Fund

 

Claudia Körbler works at the Forest Carbon Partnership Facility and BioCarbon Fund of the World Bank Group as a Consultant. The Forest Carbon Partnership Facility assists developing countries in their efforts to reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation and foster conservation, sustainable management of forests, and enhancement of forest carbon stocks. More so, Claudia is a dedicated Interpreter and cross-cultural communication specialist in English, Spanish, and her native language German, with expertise in Regional and Development Governance.


As an Austrian born global citizen, she has lived and worked in the U.S., Spain, United Kingdom, Italy, and served as a Sustainable Consultant for an Austrian based agency in the above mentioned countries. Her professional career in the US is based in the diplomatic service. She has served the Embassy of the Republic of Austria and the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Washington, D.C. in different capacities with focus on trans-cultural communication, Interpretation, crisis and risk mitigation. She delivered consecutive Interpretations for high-level diplomatic summits and consulted on cross-cultural communication techniques.


She holds her BA with distinction in Interpretation and Transcultural Communication (English, Spanish, German) from the Karl-Franzens-University of Graz, Austria, Erasmus-Cultural Exchange Semester in Legal Interpretation from the Universitat Castellón de la Plana in Spain, completed a Program in Business Administration from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and is currently working on her MA in Governance from the University in Hagen, Germany.
