
Carl Triplehorn
Youth in Development Specialist, Peace Corps
Carl Triplehorn is the Youth in Development Specialist in the Peace Corps Office of Overseas Programming and Training Support. He has more than 15 years of experience implementing formal and nonformal education programs in the areas of crisis and recovery. These programs covered different ages (early childhood development, youth empowerment, and adult literacy) as well as specific topics such as peace, agriculture, and livelihoods. Specific programs for youth focused on life skills, youth empowerment through youth-led research, and capacity building of youth-led and community youth organizations. Most recently he completed consultancies focused on program planning, evaluation, and coordination with UNHCR, Columbia Group for Children in Adversity, and Save the Children. His specialties include assessment, program design, evaluation, and training. Carl served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kenya (1990-1992). He has a B.S. in Biology (University of Alaska-Fairbanks) and an M. A. in Humanitarian Assistance (School of Nutrition/Fletcher School, Tufts University).
